Executive Order - Face Covering

Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order

“Effective at 8 p.m. this Friday, anyone who is over the age of two and able to medically tolerate a face-covering will be required to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or cloth face-covering when in a public place and unable to maintain, or when not maintaining, social distance.”

Presiding Officer Richard Nicolello

This language is not exactly the model of clarity. The bottom line is that residents must wear masks or face coverings when in indoor places open to the public (e.g., grocery stores), when using public transit or when outdoors if it is not possible to maintain social distancing.
