Volunteer With Us

The Williston Park Auxiliary Police are volunteers from the community who perform a minimum of 10 hours of service each month. This can include three (3) 3.5 hour patrols and a village event. Volunteers are also expected to work at two Nassau County events each year.

We participate in Village events including the Little League Parade, the Memorial Day Parade, the 4th of July Parade and the Ragamuffin Parade.  Typically, we lead the parades and direct traffic. We also work as court officers at Village Justice Court arraignments, conferences and trials.

The annual Williston Park Fair is an important event for us. We are responsible for closing Hillside Avenue to traffic and for providing security. Come visit our recruitment booth for information about joining our unit and for other useful information.

Although our main focus is service to the Williston Park community, we assist the Third Precinct and the Nassau County Police Department overall. We work together on various assignments including events at Clark Gardens, the Long Island Marathon, fireworks displays in the Towns of Hempstead and North Hempstead, the "Ocean to Sound Run" and the Reckson Tree Lighting.
