The Water Department consists of three active deep wells with a storage capacity
of 2,000,000 gallons of water and approximately 18 miles of mains, serving 2400
locations. Please call 911 to report any suspicious persons or activity at or
near any Water Department property.
The Water Department is responsible for all repairs to the water mains and streets and service laterals to the curb stop. Property owners are responsible for repairs from the curb stop to the building/home.
We are currently updating our water meters to allow for outdoor readings. To schedule a meter replacement, please call the Village Hall at (516) 746-2193

Backflow Test
All residential and business properties
that have in-ground sprinkler systems must by law have a Backflow device in
place
to prevent the backflow of used water into the public water system.
Backflow devices must be
tested and certified in proper working order once a year
